A C1 member e-mailed me asking why each time he's under the dash working on something / later his turn signals stop working because the harness wire ends come loose , The original wire ends are large and solid unlike the replacements today (second design)that are smaller and thinner having a slit in them which in many cases work loose . Just a little trivia why original parts bring more money and work better.If you need them look at the ends and your getting a real original turn signal unit for both car and Corvette.

I'm not surprised to see dealers selling bumpers they say are for 53 to 57 but there is a difference , 53 to 55 are cut straight while 56 to 57 are cut in a curved manner. That is why I see some 53 to 55 Corvette wearing 56 to 57 bumpers , no one repro's the 53 to 55's. How can they say 53 to 57.

Most guys know a Corvette PG has a shifter mount boss on the tail housing ,and the side safety switch // but is it a true real Corvette PG?
If it has this torque Convertor in it you can bet it's a Corvette PG, cars don't have this many bolts around the convertor which in turn the insides are Corvette. So if what your buying doesn't// then your buying a CAR PG. just passing on some more trivia

That's what I missed from you Roy! The C1 parts comparisons over these past months that you used to post. Keep them coming. I print them and put them in my AIM for reference-many times it's more helpful than any of the manuals out there. Your knowledge and pictures are invaluable.

I miss the 67 now and then but when I get into my 06 Vert it lessen the pain, I miss many Corvettes I've had over the 45 years of owning many. Once in a while I get bored and think to post pic's of original parts compared to repro. I just don't know what would interest people , remember my interest now is 53 to 57 and fewer people are in to them now //mostly C2's where the big money is. Then with so many repro parts being used (easy to buy) fewer and fewer people care about real original parts (hard to find or restore) I see vary few people that care about original parts if it's not judged in NCRS. They only care if a part gets judged in a new edition of the JM. Even now I find it getting harder and harder to sell real parts// some people that have real parts to sell see people mostly buy repro parts.
Again only if the JM mentions parts design in detail will many care , I've talked with dealer and they have a hard time keeping up with making repro parts.Comment
