I purchase a set of correct intake bolts for my 1969 L68 Big Block. The set included 14 plated bolts with shouldered heads and 2 non-shouldered bolts of slightly longer length. I assume these non-shouldered bolts were used at the left front along with the lifting bracket. The Tri-power engines did not included these lifting brackets from the factory.
My question is, were these non-shouldered bolts used without the bracket or should I use 16 shouldered bolts. Or maybe my assumption is wrong and these bolts were used at the ignition shielding bracket locations. Anybody know?
