67 body rubber mounts installation & procedures

I've been looking at my body mounts and the rubber looks rough. At present the car is being restored and I'd like to replace the body mounts before I install the bumpers etc.

The car is a B/B coupe,4 speed. Any special process that needs to be done or you might suggest I'd appreciate. I plan on having the car in the air on jacks to do the work (the old way) will use liquid blaster on bolts/nuts and let set overnight on each mount, loosen each mount, then remove using a small floor jack with a 6"x1"x3' board to just allow me clearance to do each change out.

Any special set process of removal, like front side to side or front left after right etc. Any input will be appreciated. I'm aware of the shims and will keep a close eye for them. After I finish I'll install my bumpers. By the way I ordered some bumper gaskets called "paint savers" from Dr.Rebuild to install between the body and the bumpers to save on wear. I don't care about any points just the car.Thanks,grr#33570

GRR, if your not looking for points, like me, I chose to use polyurethane body cushions, as they are far superior to standard correct rubber cushions, Just a thought. Patrick

Patrick, thanks, your reading my mind. I'm going to use the poly cusions and don't care about points. I just want a car that will turn 6500 RPM at will, burn rubber in all 4 gears. In short run as good as it looks. The 4.11 gears help in the rubber dept. When on a lift look fit for duty as far as the mounts and suspension goes.

FYI, DR.Rebuild #800-8669-doc.the bumper cusions or as they state "paint savers washers" #7833903. I just don't know why chevy never had these installed in the first place. They only cost $6.00. for set of 12 each.grr#33570
