Can someone please tell me how to locate the nut on the top of the rear shocks for an 89 convertable? ive gone as far now as pulling back the carpet in the rear compartment to find it there but its not... Haynes does not say either.. this is my 3rd attempt to change the rears out , and im not having any luck,, please help!!!!!!!!!!! doug

Don't know specifically about your 89 Corvette convertible, my 96 Corvette rear shock upper attachment nut is removed after the two bolts that retain the bracket that the shock is attached to are removed and shock is removed from the car and then on the work bench you can remove the upper shock nut and remove the bracket from the shock. My 85 Corvette is different, it is more like my C3's.
