1960 fuel gauge repair

What's wrong with it? Roger Scott among others restores gauges. 561-691-2905.

Hi Terry,

Since I got the car 3 years ago the fuel level system has been flakey. I have had 2 new fuel senders put in. After filling the tank,typically the fuel guage would either go to full for a short time and quickly go to 1/2 full or simply only go to half full. Then it would "normally" decrease until empty although the tank is still half full or so.

I ran a ground from the battery back to the tank just to ensure a good ground. Finally 2 days ago the gauge just simply is stuck on empty.
