    There are at least 2 lessons to be learned here...

    1. For crying out loud, when making a post, list the year, make and model of your car. You know, kinda like at the parts store...

        On my '59 it is impossible to get the harness below the 'under dash area' through the enclosed area next to the door. There is simply no passage like indicated in the AIM. When I disassembled the car I found the original harness and antenna cable routed parallel to the column (under the carpet) and no covers installed... I think the normally used passage was unintentionally blocked during assembly of that specific part of the body and the guys in the factory just solved the problem using this alternative routing.
