    67 Headlight problem

A friend noticed a faint glow in the high beam filament when the low beams ( work fine ) were powered. In the high beam mode, all lamps illuminate. Should I give the boot to the foot activated dimmer switch? Thanks in advance for your help.

try a thorough check of your grounds, especially the grounds under the support that mounts the headlamp motors, and the grounds to the radiator core support. don't just look at them, take them apart, clean the terminals and the metal they mate against and reinstall the polt/screw, making sure it is tight. 99% of the time the condition you have describes is resistance in the ground to the headlamps. Check your wiring diagram, it will show all the grounds, look for them all.

      Excellent!

On the money, Bill! Couldn't have said it better.
