56 or 57 in Amsterdam

Hi i found this picture it was taken back in 1958 in the central of amsterdam
(the Netherland)
its probably a 1956 or 57 export car

the licence plate is readable but is not registered anymore so i cant tell if the car is still alive today,
note: see the license plate bumperettes how wide they are fitted from each other
due to the plate size

this was a very rare car for those days in the netherlands
the belair´s and Impala´s where more common driven by the rich people

p.s. the owner would have got wet feet due to the weather that day

What do I see next to the bumperettes and above the driver side bumperette?

PS also notice the park position of the window wipers (not level but on 10 degrees up).

Sander,

Because the headlight rings appear to be chrome, my best guess would be a 1957. The 56 Corvettes headlight rings were painted body color for US sale. Or it could be a very late 56 and someone at the factory picked up a 57 ring. Good luck finding the car. Is the car right or left hand drive, I can't tell from the photo.

its left hands drive, your are probably right that its a 57 .
the picture is made in 58 .
