C1 54 speaker emblem paint

How do I paint my rechromed Chevy emblem on the radio speaker? I understand that chrome doesn't hold paint well, so how do I prep and what type of paint should I use?

I don't know ,never did that, isn't 55 Chevy the same one used. Most everything on my 55 is NOS dint have to paint one , For years before many people cared about early Corvettes I was collecting NOS parts for pennies for a 55 and 57 I never had. People now say I was smart but back then I wasn't thinking of being smart just buying parts thinking some day I would have a Corvette. How about going to a hobby shop and find the paint that may work.

Use an etching primer. I find that SEM in a spray can works pretty well over chrome.
