needto know what month D is.for rear ends,18 shuold be day,0 should be 1970 am I correct on this.

"D" represents April. If this last character is, indeed, a "0", then the date of assembly of the differential unit would be the 229th day of 1970 or August 17, 1970.In Appreciation of John Hinckley -

Thanks Joe,wanted to confirm that.I have A 71 lt1 that I'm trying to figure out.Seems like it has the major original components,but missing alot of small details.TI ignition for one,I think the nose or body was replaced.Now know the rear is aug17 1970,motor is aug18 1970,trans is aug12 1970.Build on car is sept 2 1970.Comment
