    Early C1 6V cigar lighter element

    Can someone please tell me if the 6V cigar lighter element originally used in 1953 and 1954 Corvettes incorporated the sliding element shield or not? Any other configuration nuances I should be looking for in this part? Thanks.

                  Left one original 6V// right original 12V// far right original 12V 56 up.
                  (uper pic. left 6V coils-upper right 12V coils )
