These are the ones that push into the firewall and are covered in rubber with a flange on one end to also act as a vibration damper. Does anyone know where or if they are reproduced?
Greg:
I just checked the ones in my '69 which are the original ones and I believe they are common "well nuts" available at the hardware store. They have a rubber flange and rubber shaft that goes into the hole. When you put the screw in and tighten it the rubber in the hole swells to secure the part. It is the same as the well nuts that hold the louvre inserts on although they may be a different size.
