He changed out my 70 to quartz movement about over 15 years ago. I would use his services again if needed.

Re: clock repair, Who ?
Jim, sorry but I saw only your post about the clocks, no name or who you were talking to.
I'm going to possibly be in need of a good reilable source for an R/R on my stock 67 if I can't find something simple wrong with it.If you have a name/phone of a good source I'd appreciate it especially if he delivers on the turn around time. Thanks grr.#33570- Top

Re: clock repair
Clocks By Roger "repaired" my '70 clock about 10 years ago. It did not run right then and does not now. (It stops shortly after being placed in the instrument cluster/bezel, but runs fine on the bench.) When I questioned him about this he told me I should convert it to quartz. That's not a satisfactory answer in my opinion. I would not use him again.

That ain't the Roger I know Mark! If he knows you're NCRS he's gonna do it like we want it and he'll stand behind his work 100% i just picked up a complete set of 1962 stuff from Roger this afternoon. SUPER workmanship. Even preserved the dates on the instruments!
Quite a bit of honor resides here in the South. Most of us TENNESSEEANS would father give you a dollar than cheat you out af a nickle! Call Roger and give him the opportunity to prove me right!

Re: clock repair, Who ?
I don't know how my post became detached or strayed from a previous post. Anyway Dale set everyone straight on Roger Reed and his repair/restoriation business. Roger not only works on Corvette guages and clocks, he is even a long time owner of a 67 coupe.- Top

Re: Walkin Distance
Dale, my cousin Phil Williams was Mayor of McLemoresville in 1991. I don't know what he's doing now. The job payed a heeping $10.00 per month. You Mcly is such a large cosmopolitan city. He owned a furniture store in Huntington last time I was there.
Remember Carter's general store on the main street in McLemoresville, that was Dixie Carter's dad store (only one). It's gone but she has a house near the old store on the corner. Her and Hal Holbrook her husband visit at times. I'm supposed to be related somehow but none of my relatives speak with them. To shy.
I remember meeting her back in the mid-50's when I was a small child. I guess my relatives being quiet and well mannerd don't want to seem like a bother since she is a celebrity and could probably use the quiet time away from TV and the hussle and bussle world. We were all glad she made it.
Glad to hear you come from a great part of Tennessee.Be proud.grr#33570- Top

Cousin Williams is where I get all my household stuff and furniture. GREAT people. We've got a monument now on the drugstore site for Cousin Dixie. Saw her about three month's ago! Now you know why I moved back home from Boston after retiring!

A Few Good Men...Be Proud!
GRR and Dale,
Yep, we Texicans are still PROUD you'all sent Davy Crockett and his Volunteers over to help out with our family dispute down in San Antonio. Don't know if they were from Carroll County, but those ole boys could shoot, drink, and fight. That probably explains why they could all commit to such a hopeless cause; they must have all been single.
In fact, Sam Houston, the eventual victor in the dispute, and first President of the Republic of Texas came from Tennesee. Ole timey Volunteers were friends to the end if they liked ya'; meaner junk yard dogs if they didn't. Things probably don't change very fast down yonder in dem' hollers either.
