Looks to me like a '65-6 nose flag, with the checkered flag broken off. Either the seller has never seen an original, or he's taking a break from his regular job of selling Florida swampland.

Mystery Solved!
It gets even better! He has the rest of the emblem up for sale on a separate auction. It's also listed in "in great condition with no visible damage". Priceless. You just can't make this stuff up!

My Goodness, both halves are on my watch list
Just got to see how this turns out. Below I think is a picture of the seller laughing at the buyers:

swamp listing on top ten list
Probably one of the worst ebay listings so far. Maybe not the worst but warrants being in the top 10. Mrs.Ebay in CA should be informed of this. At first I thought the flag was a broken FI plenum lid flag. You can tell the guy lives in the swamp. RJ do something about this please. He's your neighbor.- Top

Re: Seller messed up....should have plugged
Looks like we won't get to see how this one ends. The listing was pulled with the explanation: "The seller ended this listing early because the item was lost or broken". Sounds like someone told him what he actually had.- Top
