Rochester 4-Jet Carbs

I picked up 2 Rochester 4-jet carbs last night. They are similar to each other, but not identical. Both are square-bore, one appears to have slightly larger butterflies than the other.

They were with some other parts from a '64...was the Rochester 4-jet ever used on Corvettes? Are there identifying codes and dates somewhere on the carbs? Are these carbs generally desireable, or just more scrap.

No Rochesters used on Corvette applications until the Q-jet.

Should have a tag attached to one of the top cover screws with a part number, if not, it can be tough as you have to see the venturi sizes, choke mechanism, throttle linkage and fuel inlet, then maybe you can make an educated guess as to what the carb was used on.

Rochester's 4-Jet wasn't a Corvette commodity. You'll only find them on passenger cars, trucks, buses....
