I would like to get involved in the judging process and would like to know what is the best way to get started. I'm assuming that I need to find a local chapter first, correct? Steve

Re: How to get involved in the judging process?
Yes, join a chapter, then tell the chief judge at a chapter meet that you want to learn. They'll either pair you with another judge or you'll be an Observer judge to learn. Also go to seminars at various events for learning and more judging points.- Top

Re: How to get involved in the judging process?
As stated, start at the local chapter. If you can attend a Regional, ask to observer judge and usually there are advanced judging seminars. NCRS has had two judging retreats in Dallas and I believe they are planning one early next year (watch the Driveline). Don H.- Top

Re: Judges Retreat
Yes a judging retreat is planned and it would ready you for judging for chapter or regional judging. I think there is a note at the caledar on it...check it out.Tom Russo

Re: Judges Retreat
I plan on going to the retreat, especially after I was informed that you would personally pay the airline ticket and motel for any Southeast Chapter member. lolol.- Top

Re: Judges Retreat
Steve,
Being able to see the cars, meet and talk to the owners and perhaps being part of or at least observing the judging process will be worth your 2 hour drive. Nothing beats being around old Corvettes.

Re: Judges Retreat
Steve,
I drive 3 hours (160 miles) each way for Heartland Chapter events. Billy Bob & I drove my 60 FI last Saturday to our "pretend" (RIP Dale) Chapter meet. It is well worth it, trailers are for horses. Don H.- Top
