Hi guys. I'm restoring my 67 roadster, and I have the protecto plate for it. After reading through the 67 TIM/JG, I'm wondering about the "warranty book". Is this an example of one?

Kevin, Nice display. You need to find the license plate hardware envelopes. Actually it's one big envelop with two sections. One just sold on ebay for major bucks. But the judges aren't looking for this yet but they should be. It's listed in the AIMS as part of the glove box contents. Take care, John D- Top

The license plate attaching unit stuff normally disappeared during "normal dealer prep" when they attached the plates, and the judging standard is for cars following normal dealer prep (at least that's the way I see it).- Top

John, I should agree with you I know. But I think it would be a nice touch to see some original license plate hardware in the glove box even if it was torn open. For many years I saved the paper bag from my 65. In PA we only use one plate so there was an unopened bag with hardware in it that came with the car. My sisters 71 Pontiac that she bought new had the original hardware bag with it and I kept it around here somewhere. JohnD.- Top
