Is the front grill to a 1967 "frosted". If so, mine seems to have worn off the flat surfaces. Can it be "re-frosted"? Thanks.

Re: 1967 Front Grill
Yep, the grille was frosted. I found some flat aluminum paint at Lowes that is a dead match for the original paint. Did a grille a couple of weeks ago, and it came out beautiful. I masked the wide chrome around the edge, but all the little cross bars, I just wiped with lacquer thinner after a few hours. If you do almost all of the spraying from the rear, you will get very little paint on the face of the center cross bars.

Re: 1967 Front Grill
Kirk,
The paint is American Tradition by Valspar. The color is flat aluminum and their # for it is 165887. I got this off the shelf at my local Lowes.
The only parts that should show shiny chrome are the surfaces that face the front of the car. The edges of the outer ring of the grille, and edge of the vertical and horizontal bars that form the "eggcrate of the grille. All other areas of the grille should be painted. The bumpers have to be pulled and one side of the front bumper brackets has to be removed. Then there is a bolt in the center of the upper and lower flange that is removed and then the 4 phillips screws at both ends that need to be removed. The grille will then slide right out.
