I have aquired a "Draw-tite" trailer hitch that has "68-73 CORVETTE" stamped into it and is chrome plated. Does anyone out there have one or more importantly have instructions for bolting it on? I cant even see how this thing fits to what... a picture would be great

Re: C3 Trailer hitch
The ones I have seen mount to the rear spring mounting bolts on the bottom of the rear end cover. A flat bar runs from the mounting tabs to a bracket that bolts to both rear bumpers. This bar piviots down to allow access to the spare and transfers the drawbar load to the rearend structure.- Top

Re: C3 Trailer hitch
Jim I put one on my 1964 Corvette in 1969. It was the type Mike mentioned that has the long piece that mounts to the rear 4 spring bolts. It probably came with longer bolts for mounting and had a pin to pull out under the tag location if you needed to get to the spare. I put one on my 1970 Corvette in 1971, it is very esy to install and remove and I don't keep it on the car. It did require drilling holes in the rear bumpers for mounting and the other contact points are on the rear frame brace where the bumber braces mount.- Top
