Doc,
This is the only picture in my current collection which may show what you need.
Realize it's taken from the front of the car, bending over and taking the picture "upside down" with the hood open.
I'll be by the car tomorrow if you'd like me to check.
Patrick

Re: Patrick, Terry, Dick - 71-72 Is it not true?
Hi guys. Could you explain this more please? If this hose is green contrary to the AIM, where does it end up?
When I got my restored '70 300hp it had a green hose coming from the middle nipple on this relay. This green hose went to a "T", with the downward hose going to the vacuum reserve tank, and the other side of the "T" going to the middle nipple of the relay on the fire wall. This last short hose to the firewall relay was yellow, so I had a short yellow hose, the "T", then it continued to the front with a green hose. When I saw this, and noticed all the middle relay nipples are color coded for yellow, I thought the guy I got the car from had just screwed it up, so the changed the hose to a continuous yellow hose.
Was my car actually set up correctly before?
Thanks, Patrick Moresi #45581- Top

Hooked to that T just like you describe. For years the most fanatically authentic 70-72 owners told me the AIM was wrong. They begged, they pleaded. Seriously they wanted Green.
I meant to include 70 also, but this happened well over a decade ago and I CRS about everything. We changed specs based upon the feedback from those owners. I honestly don't know if the club publications mention this anomoly, but I sure didn't make it up and I know the OEM company that made these hoses frequently screwed up. When they ran them for me, it also happened more than once. And still does now that they were bought by yet another company. However we did not have the luxury of using it anyway, as GM did. However the OEM did cover the error (including the motor freight).

My 72 LT-1 looks just like Patrick's
photo. My car has every original hose from front to rear so I just took a quick look. The set-up is identical to the photo of Patrick's Bow Tie car. Fwiw, my car had 30,300 miles when I bought it six years ago and it was, and is, still very original.

I totaly agree with you . My original 71 has the situation you describe with the green going al the way to the Tee at the vacuum tank . I am the original owner and have not changed the hoses .- Top

I didn't realize you were asking about 1970 until your second post. I initially wondered why you included me in that illustrious group -- assuming you really did mean me. There are a lot of Terrys on this board.
My 1970 has a yellow stripe on the middle fitting of the headlamp relays.Terry- Top
