I am trying to locate the cable which attaches to the handle of the parking brake on a 1963 Roadster. I have tried the large, normal outlets.

Re: 1963 parking Brake cable
Hello Marshall; I believe that this is a "one year only" item. 1964 and up used a different parking brake assembly that used a roller wheel, over which the cable ran. If you've tried the major dealers and they don't have it, chances are it is not being reproduced. Long Island Corvette has a good selection of mid year stuff. You might try them. If not, you're going to be stuck looking at flea markets, or calling dealers like JT Pipers, etc., and looking for a NOS or good used cable. Hope this helps. Re: 1963 parking Brake cable
Marshall---
As Chuck Gongloff mentioned, the 1963 Corvette parking prake cables are a one- year-only item. That goes for both the front and two rear cables. The front cable, GM #3819092, was discontinued about 1982. Interestingly, the rear cables are still available from GM. The left side, GM #3819101 lists for $26.75 and the right side, GM #3819102, lists for $39.75.
As Chuck also mentioned, Long Island Corvette Supply is the only source that I know of for that cable if they even still have it. Anyway, their catalog number for this part is 47-08A and lists in the catalog I have for $95.00. Pacific Corvette in Puyallup, WA(800-228-2857) can probably fix you up with a used one.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
