From what I know big block cars used a larger diameter half shaft than it's small block cousin. Specifically what would be the diameter size for a '66 big block half shaft as compared to it's counterpart small block Corvette.
There was NO difference in half shaft size for ANY Corvette big block versus small block. ALL 1963-74 Corvette half shafts were the same with respect to ALL dimensions. Big blocks used half shafts that were shot-peened whereas small blocks did not. That was the only difference.
