C1 dash wiring harness replacement

Having continuing problems with my car ('60) dying as a result of poor connections where the ignition wires terminate at the ignition switch. I'm planning to go ahead and replace the dash wiring harness, and would appreciate any pre-work advice, pitfalls to avoid, etc.

C1 dash wiring harness

The ignition is on its own harness. Replacing the main harness will not solve ignition harness problems. However, it may solve a host of other problems.

Sorry, I meant the engine harness. I believe Lectric Limited sells one that goes to the ignition switch...

Matt, leave the old wiring in until you get the new harness, then replace wires one at a time to get proper wiring. Helps to have a diagram as well, LL sells them. Or you could consider one the Doc sells in color...

Take the steering wheel off. Take the driver's or both of the seats out. Will give you lots more room.

matt, i replaced mine several yrs. ago like others said do one wire at a time
i also ordered the large print wiring diagram from them it helped alot i also
marked each new wire end of the new harness with masking tape with a number corsponding to a number on print sheet making up a number list.i think i had to take out my grill to do rt/lft horns
