I have checked the archives for 63 coupe carpet installation, but cant find a clear answer.
I am interested in the area under the seat and at the tool pockets. The JM says, "The under seat carpet is cut to fit the toolbox depression, regrdless of the fact that the depressions are not present". (My car is an early version, ser# 105135 and has the tool depressions) "The four edges seen behind the seat , when in the forward position, are trimmed in grained vinyl".
My questions:
Is the area where the seat adjusters mount, cut out in an H fashion, similar to the '66 ?(I saw pic's of a 66 posted here)
Is the square area around the toolbox cut out an bound ?
Or is the entire rectangular area under the entire seat, back and including the tool box cut out and bound ?
I would like to leave the area under the seats carpeted, cut out the sliderail/mounting pads and around the toolbox, since I will loose
some points anyway, because I used Dynamat under the entire carpeted area.
I just want to know, what is correct, and deviate only slightly, if I can...
