Hello to all my corvette fellows again. I just bought a 1966 Corvette Coupe L/79 that was Restored and shown by Bill Peters. Bill was the MO chapter president. This car has won 5 top flight awards and Bloomington Gold and was the ceneter fold article of corvette fever 1989. I need to know if there were ever any Firestone Deluxe Champion Gold line tires that were ever made reproduction with the D.O.T stamp in them. Now for the good question, I would love to talk to Bill Peters, Does anyone here know of him or have any contact information on him. Your help would surely be appreciated. Thanks Harry

The original 65-66 Firestone goldlines were Super Sports. The Deluxe Champion goldlines are all reproductions. Also, original goldlines did not have DOT markings. Here are pics of my original Firestone Goldline tire. -

They started making Firestone Super Sports reproduction tires about a year or two ago. Until then the Deluxe Champions were the only Firestone goldlines available. Not sure if the Deluxe Champion goldlines are still available, but they were at that time.Comment
