We are plagued by our success. Our host server has informed me that we have to cut down on resources. I turned off views first. I will be turning off some of the other features like e-mail notification, and maybe some others, will have to look at where we are at.

In the mean time I would like to ask that everyone hold back on the prolific pontification for a little while. I will be searching for ever more powerful host alternatives. Hopefully by after the Nationals we will be able to finish the upgrade, spell check, turn all of the features back on and add a couple of surprises.

Till then please hold your posts to direct answers to members restoration related questions. If they end up shutting us down before we get setup on a new server, we will be back on the real weak board that we had to use in the interim while I was setting this one up.

TOO MUCH SMALL TALK

It seems we tend to forget the purpose of this board. I think the intent is to help fellow members and hobbiest with information about our cars and hobby. On the other hand some fill the board with small talk that loads up the system causing shutdowns and the provider to request less useage. I think this is the 3rd provider that we have secured and all make the same request so maybe it's time to use some common sense or lose the board forever when a provider is nowhere to be found. A large amount of the socializing can be done with e-mail. Just my thoughts!

The Rules According To Bill ?

I was unaware the "DISCUSSION board" had an intended specific purpose. I was always under the impression it existed to inform, enlighten and entertain as well as a recruitment tool. I , for one, enjoy all those aspects of this board and will expect to receive a ruler slap on the hand by Bill for this non Corvette part number related post.

You Failed To Notice..

Dale left for Bloomington Tuesday evening, the board went down WEDNESDAY, while Dale is a prolific participant, ( although if we were to ban Joe, Duke, Chuck and a few others there would be more than enough space to bore even the seldom poster), the boards problems are not related to any specific poster, simply inadequate servers. The computer knowledgeable among us have warned of this time and time again, sooner of later one would think the powers would learn by repetition if nothing else.

Actually, I am trying to keep posts question specific, and answers short because John requested that we do so. I don't plan to post unless I can add something of value to thread.

Dale is not as prolific as some of us, and his posts are both informative and entertaining. Bob was making a funny.

Embarrassed...

that I failed to give Bob the benefit of the doubt here, he has pointed out that he and Dale are friends and in my haste to defend a friend I shot myself in the foot, ( have managed that before ), MYysincere apologies to the board and Bob, I should have known better, Bobs posts are always excellent and I have no excuse for my actions.
