Some people know I repro'ed the bubble tops (sold 11) and just sold the last one , I gave up making them any more. Now if down the road you see one it may be my repro. Thanks

Re: Bubble burst
Sorry to hear you're out of the bubble top business, Roy. I was even hoping you'd might have surprised us with a midyear adaptation one of these days.
Best of luck spending more of your time enjoying your cars. And keep posting those cool accessories!
Louis
PS - Stunning photo of your '55, by the way.- Top

Re: Bubble burst
Some people write and ask me why I drive it.
I'm a funatic when it comes to my 55 I don't wont any repro parts on or in it ( but for accessories) yes I had to use repro weatherstripping ,tires, paint and so on) but other wise a high 100% original .When I did a frame off restoring it a week later my wife and I drove across the country putting on over 10K miles just for the fun of it. (WHY?) Because I wonted a (NEW) looking real original 1955 Corvette. I feel why have it if I don't drive it!
I understand how others feel and what they do with their Corvette and that's great but this is me, I've met a few other owners that do the same (BUT FEW) . I've gotten way more satisfaction having people see and ask me about my 55 then I would ever get trailering it to a few Corvette meets.
I collect extra original parts ,and repair it as needed , it's insured for 150K, took a top flight in 05, so it's not JUNK,so your Corvette can be enjoyed and driven if that's what you wont , that's why I'm writing this and I've heard every comment as to why I should not drive it.
I know people that have bigger $$ cars that do the same thing and they really enjoy their cars like Mr. Mason in Carson City NV in his SR1 drives it any where, remember unless it's drove off a cliff they can be restored again .

Re: Bubble burst
Roy, Our Pittsburgh Chapter had a picnic recently and a lot of the members drove their Corvette to it.
There was a beautiful 55 Corvette there owned by Ken Amrick who is our clubs secretary and also the editor of SACC. I thought of you while looking over Kens car. You don't seem many 55's around here. In fact outside of Kens I don't know of another. John- Top
