Re: New display at Detroit airport GM store
I notice that it doesn't have 'Beauty Rings' on the wheels. Did 'The Judge' not have them?

Re: New display at Detroit airport GM store
The judge was originally intended to be a low cost alternative to the successful Road Runner and consequently the trim rings were omitted. Not sure that the trim rings saved much money, nor that the judge was any lower priced than a standard GTO once optioned out, but that was the intent.- Top

Re: New display at Detroit airport GM store
Ha ha ya that's all Don.
My first muscle car ride was in a 67 goat that a family friend had in San Mateo. It was a "nothing" car...faded paint and tired interior but it was an HO car with a his and hers shifter that I thought was neat. One day we went out for a six pack of pepsi(he doesn't drink) and he gave me this funny mischievous look as he slowly pulled out of the corner store parking lot and then he nails it! It was all a blur with tires sqweeling and him just trying to keep the ole goat going straight all the time with me pinned in the seat. A block later he hammers on the brakes locking them up so that we can slow down enought to make the corner and then gently turned down the street and into his driveway with his wife standing there and looking at us shaking her head. With big grins on our faces all he said was "what"??? He used to flip these things as his hobby and had some really nice ones back in the day. I was lucky enough to be able to help him out with some light resto work from time to time so that is were I first got my taste of them.
These days his GTO's are all gone as his "first love" is 56 Fords but I still have one from his GTO "empire"....a PHS documented 65 Tri-Power, 4 spd car.
