this is an attempt to find out how one would tr and locate a corvette stolen some twenty five years ago. The car in question is a 67 427 car, and there may be a chance that the car could reserface after all these years. the car belonged to my deceased brother in law and to my knowledge , other than the initial search performed by our locals, there has not ben any other attempt to try and locate this car. I am not curent on the methods in which try and locate a corvette in this day and time, however one has to assume that times have certainly changed, what with the increase in the value of a car like this. The car was a relatively low option car, But as iremember it well it was in great shape. If anyone could direct me as to how to start a search like this, please contact me at my web site. much abliged! C.Kale

Re: stolen vett info
Chris, I work with the stolen car task force here in Texas. There is a master computer with a list of stolen car "vin #s". You must have the vin. If you want to E-mail me the vin and other info ,I will see if it's listed or recovered etc.I'm not sure if there is a data base on all vins registered nationwide but i can ask. Bob Cook
