    1957 casting numbers

    Hi. Can anyone tell me the correct casting numbers (Block-Heads and Intake Manifold) for a 1957 283 2x4 4 speed car. Thanks Mario.

    Heads - 3740997 for 220, 245, 250 & 270 hp; 3731539 for 283 hp, FI
    Intake manifold (aluminum 2x4) 3739653

      Oops, forgot about the cylinder block - 3731548 for all v-8 engines in 1957

          Mario,

          If you are trying to find the correct parts for a 57, you must consider dates also, and how those dates match up with the build date of the car.

          Give us more information so we can provide better answers.

              In reading back over the posts, including my own, I don't see any "want to buy" or "offers to sell" anything.

              I see someone asking for information and several responses providing information and asking for more data.

              Exactly who is buying or selling here?

                Guess I jumped at the wrong post and have to appologize for starting my referee career. I simply get tired of reading similar posts, not necessarily in this thread, about where to find something that is easily located if one does a little research on their own.
