c-1 glove box door

Does anyone know how you tighten the button/latch assembly on the glove box door on a C-1? There does not seem to be an efficient way to tighten the ring on the outside of the door. Thanks.

I made a special tool out of a 5/8" hex head bolt. I ground it down on a grinding wheel (very carefully) to the point where it became an 8 sided device that can be inserted into the depressed button area. The button can be pushed down far enough to expose the 8 sides on the retainer. The tool can then be turned to tighten/untighten the retainer. It doesn't look too professional but it works!

Good info, but has nothing to do with the question. The ring is distorted on the back side.
