C3 Caliper Bleeder Cap

Did the original Caliper Bleeder Cap for a 1972 have a retainer ring to hold them on to the Caliper when they were pulled off the bleeder screw or did the whole cap come off? I guessing they were black.

I don't think there is cap on the 1972 caliper bleeder originally -- however it is a good idea if you are going to drive your Corvette very much.

Thanks for Info . Currently I do not have any installed but I will pick some up to keep the bleeders clean.

John T from John O. No caps on my car. I suggest silicon brake fluid.
I used it in late 1970's and it still works like a rock. You must flush
whole system first. I used denatured alcohol to flush. If it isn't to late
I also have the stainless steel caliper inserts.
