This is my brother law Dan Dempsey who many may know that's restored many 53 to 55 Corvettes// he sanded and polish the rare original Green bubble top I found , when I got it you couldn't hardly see through it , he just finished it and we sat it on my 55 for the first time. It's one of only five ever made.

Re: x
Roy, I'm no expert on these very early cars, but in the first pic I see that the headlight areas are painted red, same as interior color. If that pic was taken in '54, its interesting to see that customizing was already being done to these cars within the first year! Interesting photos, many thanks!

Oh, you wait till the east coast is sleeping then you get on the computer, thanks!:-) ........
Nice photos, great shot of the 54 and the bubble top. Interesting red headlight area.
You should start production of the 58-62 version. How did you get the bubble formed, on a mold with heat? Was it plexiglass?

Roy ---- Did you buy it from Bill Weiland in Florida? At one time, he had one, whether it was clear or tinted, I don't know since I never saw it. He also, at one time or another, owned '53 SN 1021 and 1014 and some '54s. Boy were they rough (fiberglass) but all there. He tried to contact Chevrolet to determine if there was some warranty on the fiberglass regarding bubbling, shrinking and mis-shaping over time. LOL
Anyway, Bill told me that he tried to find some clear plexiglass or other suitable material to use in reproducing the tops. The limitation was that the material only availability was in 4'-0" widths which was too narrow. Roy, what did you use for the tops?
