    '63 radio

My on going 8 year project '63 is finally getting a correct radio. My problem is that the wiring in the dash from the harness has been cut - there is no connector to plug into the radio. #1 Where can I get one? #2 where do each of the, what appears to be 3 wires go (or come from, depending on your prospective) that plug into the radio and what colors are they? (i.e. top is red and is hot, 2 is black and ground, 3 is yellow and something). I would like to check the radio out before sending it out and not have to install it. I have the equipment to hook it up, but need to know the wiring so I do not cause any damage. Thanks

The three wires going to the radio should be Brn/Wht for +12V, Blk/Wht for Ground and Gray for the Dial Light. You should be able to get just a connector from the folks who make wiring harnesses, Lectric Limited or M. Parker Autoworks.

In addition, correct hookup should be available in the '63 service manual, or the assy manual. Another source for connectors is any junkyard with a '62-64 Chevrolet Pass car in residence.
