    part number sticker

while taking apart all parts of my 63 corvette
I found part number stickers on several bumper brackets and license brackets.
i know these are gm replacement parts because the car had some front damage in the past, its been repaired perfectly back to original except for the inner fender being the 65 up part,

but i was wondering in what era this repair was done
so maybe some of you can tell in what time frame GM used these type of part # stickers (if it is able to tell at all)

    just wondering
    thank you Sander,

    Zip Code a Clue

Zip codes were not formally announced until late July of 63 and that was on a voluntary basis. Generally they were not used until the late 60's my guess is the OG3 is a date code? July 1983?

      Sander-----

Generally speaking, the style of label pictured is quite old. It dates back to the 70's, particularly the early 70's. However, that just says when the label was EMPLACED on the part and not necessarily when the part went out the door at the GMSPO warehouse. I've purchased parts fairly recently from GM which had this style label on them. However, I'm sure that these parts have been sitting in a GMSPO warehouse somewhere for a LONG time.

          Maybe it's "zero" G 3, July 3, 1970?
