Hi,
I've seen many posts with questions how to resize photos and to put links in the messages for viewers to post. Just in case you don't know, here are some ways to do it. There may be others but I like these methods.
A free downloadable software called "irfanview" allows you to resize, rename, and just about anything, and even in batch mode(means you can do many at the same time). Lets say you have 25 files in a directory, and you want to resize them from big 1280x800kb to 640x480kb, and rename them from PA10001 etc, to "engine1.jpg" to "engine25.jpg". This program lets you do it with a few buttons. It'll reduce the file size from say 800kb to apx 150kb based on options selected. You can do 1 file or many. Just remember it'll save all of your settings so the next time you use it you need to readjust the parameters, i.e. renamed filename/increment, output directory, etc.
Go to
Dowload the free s/w and run. To do the resize etc, open a jpg file in your directory and in the top tray click "File"..."Batch Conversion/Rename". It takes a little practice but it works great.
Another handy tool is to make short names of the long links in your messages. Just copy your link and go to:
paste in the long link in the box, and it'll convert it to a linked short name to add into your post.
