What is the Tachometer Application that Yellow Lines at 6300 - 6400, and Red Lines at 6500, with part number "1586083" on the back of the tach? Was it distributor or generator driven?
Is the number stamped in ink or is it some way embossed? I can't find any C1 tachometer of that part number. It may be that the part number is for something other than the tachometer instrument, itself, or it may be that it's a PRODUCTION-only part number (but, I doubt it). Most C1 tachometer instruments have a part number that begins with "154". See if you can find such a number on the unit.
If the case hasn't been molested, it should be ink-stamped either "Reads Cable Speed" (generator-driven), or "Reads Twice Cable Speed" (distributor-driven).
