I have a 1991 corvette and was hoping someone could help with a problem. What it is doing is after sitting over night when I start it and drive it runs great, but after shutting it off say for 1/2 an hour it idles differently and when I get on it it stalls out. The computer said the map sensor was bad and I replaced that and erased trouble codes but that didn't help. It is not throwing any new codes. I took it in and had a scanner put on it and it showed no codes as well. Thanks in advance Rich
Richard,
A fuel pressure reading while the car is acting up would help with the problem.
I had the same problem onceand it ended up being the Idle air control valve.
good luck
john
I would agree with checking the injectors. They can be weak and not set any codes. I recently changed all 8 in my 90 and it made a huge differenct in performance.
