I think you found the tag that was attached to the seat frame. I just had my seats recovered and before I shipped them out, I noticed that one of them had the long black plastic tag. Fairly certain they were from the seat frame manufacturer, but I'm not sure what the numbers mean, except that "3 58" seems like March of '58 since your car is a '59. Go to the archives on this site and go to the 2003-2005 archives and plug in the #3761742 and you will find someone else who asked the same question in 2004. He also found the tag on the back of the seat springs. Hope this helps. Steve
