    C2 Rim Supported by What?

Been in the process of getting an after market Al rim for my 64 to run on the street. After a few false starts have just recieved a 15X6 with offset of +.126, twice that of the KO and 67 Rally of +.060. However when bolted on still about same clearance to spring. No tire yet.
QUESTION; What supports the rim load??

Have an center hole that is larger than hub by .113" (radius) and bolt holes larger by the same .113". I don't feel comfortable with these larger holes.
The set up will be used for around town driving, putting the KO with the hi performance 4 ply tires in attic.

Sounds like you need special lug nuts to take up the hole clearance.

The center hub hole is what locates the wheel precisely on the axle centerline. If there is "play" in the hub-to-center hole fit, I don't recommend even attempting to use the wheel.

American Racing Wheel said they will be fine, but that's a salesman for ya. They depend upon the tapper of the lug to hold everything together.

Guess if I'm not racing it should be OK. Oh with these rims the 225X70 15 work, but no extra room. If I had to get rear tires again I would go to the 205X65 15 on all four.

Most of your aftermarket wheels are not "hub-centric", so I don't think I would get too excited. Come to think of it, I can't recall any that are.

            Re: C2 Solution is . .

            Thanks,
Not sure if we reached a solution, however I have ordered Hub Rings to fill the diference. At $7.50 each why argue. If anyone has same problem just do a yahoo search, got mine from MKW - will take a week for machine work.
