    69 front door jam paint

I'm in the process of painting the front door jams on a Daytona Yellow 69. I'm not sure where to stop the black paint. The judging guide says it's painted to the front and the upper area. Does it extend below the cover for the hinge bolts? thanks...Mike

Your comment does not compute...the cover for the top hinge is high up on the door, so yes, it DOES below the hinge cover, and above it too.

To answer your question, my 70 has door blackout that runs from the top horizontal flange at the window opening (about 4" back from the front to about the first hole in the horizontal flange), running down the door more-or-less skirting around the indented area in the regulator area, down to the bottom of the door. There is no black out past the front jamb area where the door weatherstrip is mounted...black will only be seen on the INTERIOR SIDE of the weatherstrip, and none on the bottom edge of the door.
