Has anyone found a source for either the original configuration mid-year AC drier sight glass plastic plug or an acceptably configured replacement? The plug was initially inserted to cover the drier sight glass prior to painting the drier and then left in place. The best information I have from the C60 PROCEDURES AND TEST SPECIFICATIONS is that the plug was not removed when the factory charged the AC system because neither the Refrigerant Leak Test nor the Cooling Functional Test requires checking the Freon charge by the "sight glass" method. Also, on original cars I have found the plugs still in place because the paint helps keep them in. Thanks, Pete

Re: Mid-Year AC Drier Sight Glass Plastic Plug???
Hello Peter;
I looked in the junk tray of my toolbox(circa 1967), but don't have a plug.
They were left in until a guy like me(line mechanic) pulled them out. Sometimes we put them back(if we didn't drop them first)
I'll look in my '67. It might still be there.
Thanks, Ray
P.S. Forgot to look at the wiper arms per your email. Will get back to you.And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
I hope you dance
