I finally got a chance to look at my tach to see what it redlined at to get an idea about the original engine. It turns yellow at about 5700rpm and red at 6000rpm. So this would have most likely come with a 327?

If it is a 1968 car, the only engine with a 6000rpm red line was the 350HP 327ci engine.

If you also noticed on a previous response, I was asked what was my redline was at. I'm just trying to be sure of what I have. This is the first old corvette that I have owned and I don't know alot about them. Is it a no-no also to double check???Comment
