What is the difference in the hood shapes on 68 vettes for small block verses big block

It's quite difficult to describe this, but the difference is very obvious and prominent.
Basically, the small block hood has a relatively narrow, slightly raised area which tapers from the forward point if the hood rearward.
The big block hood has a much wider and higher raised area which begins about a foot, or so, back from the forward point of the hood. It also has chrome plated moldings installed in recessed areas and "427" or "454" numerals on either side of the raised area.In Appreciation of John Hinckley
