C1 gas tank sender 53-55

I've had guys e-mail me asking if they can get a sender for their 53 to 55 and about the repro's . I've wrote about this many years ago that the 53 to 54 truck are the same part # 1517500 AC gas gauge tank unit/ once in a while you can find them on e-bay under Truck NOS or even used. Again hope this helps. Pic is a truck NOS I got on e-bay last year.

Yeah, when

my tank sender and fuel gauge innards burnt out about 20 years ago, I used the innards from a Chevy truck to repair both. Works perfectly, except the rheostat isn't tapered at the 0-1/4 section, so the needle drops pretty fast when it's down there.
