    56 C1 Cove Color

I would like to order some paint from Color Library for my 56. The judging manual says the silver cove color is not Inca Silver. Can someone tell me info to order this color. If I tell Color Library that I want 56 cove color Silver will they know what I want? Comments welcomed.

Allen, Dupont recently reformulated the '56 Corvette Silver used for '56 & '57 coves in 2 part paint. Check your Dupont paint dealer. No lacquer crossover is available. Gary....

        Allen...

Try www.corvettepaintcodes.com, their listing is pretty good, except paint suppliers have changed some numbers to their new paints. Most auto paint stores will cross reference these as you order.

56-7 Grey Cove paint was never reformulated

from nitro celluoise (sp?) into acrylic lacquer unfortunately. For years everyone's used Inca which is not correct. Last year Tom Ames found that DuPont for some unknown reason has recently reformulated the '56 Corvette grey which was also used for '56-7 grey coves into multi part paint. Go figure why after all these years. Gary....
