    Plastic Expansion Tanks

    Hi Everyone:

This 73 project is providing me with some new situations I have never encountered with mid years or earlier sharks. This one regards the overflow / expansion tank. Typical to only 73, this tank is unavailable, ( service replacement only ), the one in the car is correct but yellowed from age and fluids. I would be very interested in ideas to freshen up the appearance, it now looks like stuff has been growing in there for years. If ya think that is bad you should see the Original Firestone 500 thin line white wall still in the carrier, think they will still replace it under the original recall ?

Jer, I've tried everything on yellowed plastic. NOTHING will work. Put an add in the Driveline "looking for an NOS......." Bob
