Back in the old lacquer days the trick for a nice finish was to mix a little color and a lot of clear together for the final few top coats. Gave an outstanding shine. I agree with Womble's comments on warranty and mixing. I've used every combination of primers, thinners, and laquers and never seen a problem. Maybe I was just lucky?
