69 washer tube to arm clips

Could someone please post a pic of how these little plastic clips are supposed to hold the washer tube to the arm. I just received a set for each arm but can't find any reference in my books on how or where they are meant to go. I can take an educated guess for most of them but I'd like to make sure I get it right the first time.

    Thanks.

I think the AIM has a diagram, but I stand to be corrected.

The four small clips at the bottom fit into the metal plate that covers the spring. I have found this plate is missing on many original arms and without it the clips will not hold anything. The clip packages are marked RH and LH so that should help also. I would put the triangle clip near the center of the straight part of the tube and the two rectangle clips near each end of the straight part of the tube. If the aim has a picture then use it as your guide to install them.

        Paragon...

is the one who had the clips re-tooled and manufacturers/distributes them. They apparently don't think it's necessary to include installation instructions because their catalog pretty clearly shows which clips install where on the RH and LH wiper arms. NOTE: it's not uncommon to get a box of clips where there's an 'extra' clip which can be confusing + one arm uses three clips while the other arm uses four....

          Re: Paragon...

Thanks guys. All I could find in the AIM was how to install the wiper assy so I guess they were supplied with the clips already installed. I did manage to find an old paragon catalog and found where to place the clips so thanks for that tip.

Now...one of the metal strips that covers the spring is missing like you mentioned. Where do you suppose I could find just this strip and not the whole arm assy? Would this metal strip be used on other GM arms of the era or was it a Corvette thing only. I know the arm is Corvette only...just thinking that the strip might be a more common piece.

I searched a few yards for that cover and had no luck finding anything close.

Great drawing and shows the two bottom small clips are different and where they are installed.

I have to credit the late John Woods for the artwork. This page was the result of an 'un-official survey" of original cars that we did a long time ago.

Yes thanks Sal, that is a very good pic, one that I'll keep for future reference.
