I need the rear suspension and wheel bearings done on my 64 300 HP. I replaced the springs and shocks but the bearings and bushings are original and clunking. Any suggestions for a good vette mechanic in the Englishtown, NJ area? Thanks
Might try Jerry Benni in Fords, Ideal Garage on new brunswick ave and grace st.732-738-1566. Not a vette specialist but has owned corvettes and still works on some. He has been honest with me and charges are reasonable.
If you can make it to northern NJ, you can also take it to the shop of Ron Ananian, the nationally syndicated auto-related call-in radio show host. I've been listening to him for years - he's a heck of a diagnostician, and he approaches auto maintenance and repair in a very thorough and methodical manner. (And he works on Vettes, too.) If you're unfamiliar with him, just check out his website (it also contains links where you can hear one of his podcasts).

Check out this web site www.bairs.com and look at services. They show the 65-82 for service and all that they will do. A phone call will verify what they can do for your 64. Only wish I knew what they did in 1974.
I have a mechanic I have used for many years who lives right around the block from you - call Richie at 732-446-3419. He is on Woodward Rd. in Manalapan,
Woodward Rd. becomes Tenent Rd. Richie is a master mechanic who repairs all makes and happens to be a "442" freak. Good luck.
Call John Martin in Piscataway at 732 469-0738. A master mechanic and body man. Has owned midyears since the 60's. Has restored midyears to NCRC specs and can fix any c-2 problem. Highly recommended
